Don’s Accomplishments as McLean County Circuit Clerk
“I am hopeful the voters will return me to the Office of the McLean County Circuit Clerk to continue to expand upon our previous successes and to see the fruition of a much sought after Justice Information System and the improvements it would afford.”
- Implemented changes that improved and expanded onsite and online access to information and court records
- Afforded court users the convenience of payment of fines, fees, and court costs by credit card
- Created several sophisticated computer applications that assist in daily duties within the office – this was in response to the limitations of the current County’s court case management system
- Sought for the creation of and now participating in the development of the County’s new court case management system that will greatly enhance service to the Court and court users. The anticipated go-live date is March 2025.
- Appointed to two Illinois Supreme Court Commission Access to Justice subcommittees for the development and review of standardized forms for use in the Illinois courts
“As a leading advocate for the improvements of services to e-filers, the Illinois Courts and Circuit Clerks’ offices, I helped establish the Court Clerk User Group to liaison with the vendor of the statewide electronic filing manager.”
Justice Information System
A computer system that takes information from all the different justice partners and stores it in one place so each one of the partners has access to the information
“Everhart said he is proud of his office’s ability to provide effective services with a reduced budget every year and within limitations of the County’s Justice Information System.”
